TAMPA, Fla. (September 10, 2020) – Applied Data Corporation (ADC), the leading provider of Fresh Item Management technology for grocery and convenience stores, announced today that it has been awarded the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification. The scope includes ADC’s Information Security Management System (ISMS).
ISO, the International Organization for Standardization, is one of the most widely recognized and internationally accepted information security standards. It identifies requirements for a comprehensive Information Security Management System (ISMS) and establishes quality standards used to measure an organization’s IT security controls and processes for handling and managing data.
A-LIGN, an independent and accredited third-party security auditor, completed the assessment of ADC’s systems and successfully validated its controls meet the standards required for this certification.
Joydeep Roy, CTO of ADC, commented, “This is a major accomplishment for ADC and for the fresh food industry. As technology and consumer behaviors evolve, our clients require increased security controls to manage their organization. This certification validates our commitment to providing the easiest to use and most secure platform in the industry.”
“We’re proud of our continued leadership bringing SaaS tools to the retail marketplace,” commented Shamus Hines, CEO of ADC. “We have paid particular attention to security and user-friendly design with our SaaS software as it provides our clients with the confidence they need and deserve when investing in our solutions.”
